CASA GUÁCIMA

On a residential lot in La Guácima, Alajuela, stands this 185 m² (607 sf) house.  Featuring an “L”-shaped architectural layout, it is covered by two roofs with equal slopes that open towards the gentle northern light and enhance natural ventilation.

The house is built with concrete block masonry, a traditional construction method for single-family homes in Costa Rica.  It includes a terrace and a pool, allowing residents to connect with nature.
