ADAPTA provides architectural design consulting for the renovation and expansion of the Cafetalera Aquiares store. In its existing condition, the space was located at the northwest corner of the office building and functioned solely as a store.
The Objective: To expand and refurbish the existing space so that it also serves as a café. This way, both locals and tourists can enjoy the excellent coffee produced on-site while also shopping for various items.
The new space includes:
– A Coffee and Pastry Bar
– A Retail area and
– An L-shaped terrace that wraps around the corner.
One side of the terrace features a pergola-covered seating area with views of the existing garden, which is home to Araucaria trees and Bougainvillea. The other side is a spacious counter where guests can sit, enjoy their coffee, and participate in coffee-tasting sessions for groups that visit the farm.
The café-store opens up to the public space, inviting people in and becoming an integral part of the community.
